Warzone Resurgence Ranked Meta — Season 2, Week 2 (February 21-28)

Here are the best loadouts for Resurgence Ranked. You may need to hop into Shipment and grind up a couple of weapons, but it'll be worth it for the SR.

We're now in the fifth year of Warzone and CoD's BR has changed dramatically since launch. The Covid casuals have left, and now Activision are targeting a more committed fanbase.

A big part of this new direction for Warzone involves more competitive play, specifically a Ranked mode. As you can see from the current playlist update, we now have a Ranked mode available for Resurgence as well, it's not just for Battle Royale. On this page, you can always find the best loadout to use for Resurgence Ranked.

As Resurgence is played on the smaller maps, these loadouts will almost always involve a close-range option like an SMG, and a medium to long-range option like an AR. Typically, we include a long-range option for lower-skilled players (with low recoil) and an alternate option for higher-skilled players (TT-focused). You can find the best short and long-range options available this week below.

Resurgence Ranked Meta (Short Range) — RAM-9

You might still favor the HRM-9 for a slightly more stable and therefore easier weapon to use, but the RAM-9s close-range TTK is hard to turn down. You can win gunfights you absolutely shouldn't be able to, simply because the fire-rate is so blisteringly high.

It must be said, however, this is a strictly close-quarters SMG, and so it might not be the best option if you're a more passive player that tries to take engagements at distance.

This build is currently being used by most streamers, although we first saw it watching Crowder (coach of Atlanta FaZe). It's disgusting in both Resurgence and Battle Royale, but as we mentioned before it's not one of those SMGs that you can also use at mid-range.

Resurgence Ranked Meta (Long Range) — MTZ-762 / TAQ Evolvere

The TAQ Evolvere is unquestionably the lower-skilled long-range meta, following the buff it received in the February 13 patch. At the moment, the only question seems to be between using the 5.56 ammo with a higher fire-rate and DPS, or the default 7.62 ammo which is even more controllable.

And for the high-skill meta, we think the MTZ-762 is king. This weapon is limited to 30 rounds and has a bit of a kick to it, but it also has an unparalleled TTK at range.

Low-Recoil TAQ Evolvere Build / Medium-Long Range

This build is the absolute easiest to use and requires basically no recoil control on your part. But don't worry, the TTK is still very strong with this build, and you should be able to outgun almost every other weapon in the game.

We highly recommend the above build for Resurgence, but it would also work for Battle Royale (although BR is now far less popular than Resurgence so to many of you that won't even be relevant).

For BR, you might want to consider a sniper instead, although generally speaking we aren't convinced that snipers have been worth using since Caldera.

Best TTK MTZ-762 Build / Medium Range

This is the MTZ-762 build that will give you one of the best possible TTKs in the game, we're completely in love with it right now.

This is an amazing MTZ loadout for Resurgence, but it won't be quite as good for Battle Royale. With the lack of recoil control attachments and optic, it will be difficult to take engagements at 50 meters or more.

And there you have it, the current meta for this week in Warzone Resurgence Ranked. Good luck grinding out the SR (and not getting terrible teammates). Let us know in the comments if we're sleeping on any great guns that not enough people are using right now.
