Sony just announced that they will stop to support X (formerly Twitter) pn PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

After Microsoft removed the X/Twitter integration from Xbox a few months back, now Sony announced the same step. In a notification sent to consoles, Sony said that there will be no integration of X on PS5 and PS4 in the future. But what exactly does this mean and why is Sony taking that step now?
PlayStation Ends Support for X/Twitter
From November 13, 2023 onward, integration of X (formerly Twitter) will stop working on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. This means players will no longer be able to view content on X on PS4 or PS5 and also won't be able to post directly from PlayStation to X or link an X account.

Apparently, this decision was caused by X/Twitter increasing their API usage prices earlier this year.

Let's see if Sony and Microsoft canceling the integration is enough for X to lower their API usage prices again. At least we finally have Discord on PS5...
