The folks at Activision love a good collab, and for the release of Modern Warfare 3 they're pairing up with the aggressively-named ice tea brand "Liquid Death". They announced their partnership with a trailer that parodies PETA.
Modern Warfare 3 will be released in a few short days. And for the first time in Modern Warfare history, it will feature Zombies. To celebrate the occasion, Call of Duty have collaborated with the drinks company Liquid Death. They announced the partnership with a promo, in which they claimed to be starting a movement called the "People for the Ethical Treatment of the Undead", a direct parody of "People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals". We're not sure why PETA are catching strays, but is a funny parody, check it out below.
CoD x Liquid Death: People for the Ethical Treatment of the Undead
Here is the promo, which is directed in the style of a classic PETA ad:
It should be noted that Liquid Death is a brand built on humorous marketing, and so this is a classic stunt for them. Although we're less sure why Call of Duty agreed to the collab, as they typically tend to avoid anything potentially risky.
It's unclear yet what the collaboration will involve, besides this parody promo, but we expect you will get Double XP codes for buying Liquid Death. This has been how CoD have marketed new games via collabs with food and drinks companies in the past.
