Arcane took the world by storm. League of Legends fan or not, you heard of or watched the show on Netflix. Now, Riot Games has given us a little teaser about what could happen in Season 2. Experts were already speculating, and it looks like they may have been right.
Arcane Season 2 is coming out on November 2, 2024. With the start of the League of Legends Season 2024 Riot Games has dropped a little teaser about some character development in Season 2. This first teaser trailer is only about 45 seconds long, but already gives so much to see.
Arcane: LoL Character Proves Theory Right
During the 45 seconds, we can see the mad alchemist Singed sitting in a chair letting his blood run through some tubes while caressing a clock. As the camera moves behind him, we can see a huge creature hanging on the ceiling, with lots of cables and pipes connected to it.
This creature is the key to a long-lasting fan theory and works right back into our League of Legends universe.
The monster entangled in Singed's equipment is none other than Warwick, the Werewolf of Zaun. But who is Warwick? The official lore tells us that he is out of Zaun and knows all the streets by heart. He goes feral as soon as he smells blood and hates Yordles like Heimerdinger. As a hunter he is incredibly fast and regenerates really quickly which allows him to survive even the most fatal wounds.
The theory was always that Vander could be Warwick, as he knows Zaun very well and is connected in the undercity. He was always a man that valued justice and fairness and helping those in need. There are even some voice lines in League of Legends that show a connection between Warwick and Vi/Jinx. They talk about Zauns History before Vi became a Piltover Cop and how she should've helped, but also some nostalgia as Vander taught Vi how to fight.
After Arcane Series 1 we already know that the person in Singed's experiments is Vander, the foster parent of Vi and Jinx. We have already seen what shimmer can do to creatures, so it will be very interesting to see what Singed has done to Vander/Warwicks mind.
Personally as a long time LoL-player I cannot wait to see what Riot does in Arcane Season 2. When creator Praeco/Christian Linke was asked to describe Season 2 he only responded with the word “War”. They definitely know how to hype us up.
