Sony have just broadcast their March 2022 State of Play. It was a celebration of their Japanese Studios, here's everything we saw!

Sony announced a surprise State of Play showcase for March 2022, and while it wasn't the best we've ever seen, you might find something you like. Here's everything we saw at the State of Play event.

What Did We See At The March State of Play?

Valkyrie Elysium

Valkyrie Elysium looks like a half-decent Soulslike game. Unremarkable, but well polished.

The DioField Chronicle

This is a new free-to-play turn-based strategy game. It has a fantasy setting, a moderate budget, and it's coming this year.

Returnal Ascension

We saw a trailer for a free update coming later this month. Returnal is an exciting 3rd person sci-fi action game, and it's worth checking out.

Track to Yomi

Black and white Samurai game, very cinematic, looks interesting. Check out the trailer yourself.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

We were shown a short reveal trailer. It's an unremarkable fighting game for an insufferable anime series.

Gigabash

This is a funny arcade game where you destroy cities as Godzilla (only we can't call it Godzilla because they don't have the copyright).

Teenage Mutant Ninga Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection

This is a bit of a throwback, a TMNT platformer. It could be charming, it could be a cash-grab.

Gundem Evolution

The exo-suit arena shooter, gets a technical test this spring.

Forspoken

Forspoken's release date was confirmed via a short trailer: October 11.

Exprimal

From Capcom, this is a bizarre game that sees us fight dinosaurs in the year 2043. We saw a short reveal trailer.

Ghostwire Tokyo

We saw a little gameplay and got further confirmation of the March 25 release date.

Strangers of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin

This was actually leaked just before the broadcast started:

We saw a short cinematic trailer.

When Is The Next State of Play?

Unfortunately, Sony are always tight-lipped about announcing State of Plays ahead of time, but you can probably expect another one in April. These are fairly regular events, but as we said, they don't announce them ahead of time, usually only on the week of the event.
