Starfield: Having issues with the game performance, but FSR2 just doesn't cut it for you? This is how you can get the game to run DLSS.

Starfield doesn't officially support DLSS as upscaling technology, only FSR. The problem with this is that many gamers see DLSS as the superior upscaling program, especially if you already have a very high-end GPU. Here is how you can utilize DLSS despite it not being supported.
Starfield: How To Use DLSS
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to install DLSS.
- Go to nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/111 or alternatively click here.
- Click on "Files" then choose if you want ReShade or not, the first will give you an overall better image, but it could bug.
- Press "Manual Download", log in to your account and then choose "Slow Download".
- If you haven't already, download Nvidia DLSS by copying techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/ into your browser or click here.
- Open up your Starfield Game Folder. You can navigate to it by opening up your Local Disk folder, and then going to Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Starfield or XboxGames > Starfield > content.
- An alternative way to access your Game Folder is by going to your Steam Launcher, select and right-click on Starfield, go to "Manage" and then "Browse local files". If you are an Xbox Game Pass user, then again right-click on the game, select "Manage", go to "File" and then "Browse".
- There is one last thing you need to download: Your upscalerbaseplugin. You can find it under nexusmods.com/site/mods/502 or here.
- Go to your "mods" folder. First, throwing everything you find in the zip package in here. Then, add your .dll plugin file into "UpscalerBasePlugin".
- Almost done: Open up your game.
- Click on the "End" button on your keyboard. You'll open up the Starfield Upscaler Settings.
- Make sure that the settings are on "Enable" and you choose "DLSS" for Upscale Type.
- Go to Settings > Display > Upscaling, choose FSR2, it will be overwritten.
- Set Render Resolution Scale to 66-67%. It's the Quality Mode of DLSS.
- You should see a difference now. If not, try restarting your game.
- This should at least better your graphics, and in the best case give you an FPS increase!
