Sony is constantly pushing out new hardware specifically for the PlayStation 5, from elite controllers to other accessories. And it looks like we're in store for another set of exclusive hardware. According to reporting from Insider Gaming, Sony plans to make PS5-exclusive wireless earbuds, as well as a new headset.

Sony Planning To Make Wireless Earbuds For PS5

According to sources talking to Insider Gaming, wireless earbuds and a new wireless headset are being developed for the PlayStation 5 and are set to release "towards the end of FY23", Sony's fiscal year which goes from April 2023 to March 2024.

A headset is nothing to write home about, really. This new one, codenamed "Voyager", is set to be similar to previous Sony headsets like the Inzone H7.

Earbuds for your console sound really neat, though. Currently called Project Nomad, they are set to have a battery life of around 5 hours, so similar to comparable products like Apple's AirPods or Sony's other earbuds like the WF-1000XM3 .

Both products are set to release around the same time as a new version of the PS5. How much any of these new products will cost is unclear so far.
