Naughty Dog is working on a new game. That is already huge news as it is, but the fact that The Last of Us Part 2 devs are working on a multiplayer game is just... naughty...
So Naughty Dog is basically PlayStation and Sony's bread & butter. For the PS1, they did Crash Bandicoot, which was the cool kids' answer to Mario. Then, for PS2, they did Jak and Daxter, which was the cool kids answer Ratchet & Clank, which is irrelevant because both these games were for the PS2 because the PS2 is the GOAT. For PS3 and PS4, Naughty Dog basically sold systems with Uncharted and The Last of Us, and I am saying all of this to simply let the fact marinade that...
...these sons of mother f-ing guns are working on a new multiplayer game!

What type of Multiplayer Game is Naughty Dog Working On?
Honestly? We don't know. We just got a simple, but reliable, piece of information that we're basing all of this on: A job ad. Oh, yes, the good ol' job-ad leak. The job listing specifically mentions the word "longevity" and is looking for amultiplayer economy designer, creating a meaningful reward system for players and ensure the game remains engaging for a long time.
Aka:
Naughty Dog: "Dude, we need you to get these people addicted to our game! You ever pushed or peddled product before?"
A: "What?"
ND: "Word is, you were deep in these streets and had the fiends on lock."
A: "Uhm... well you see I had no choice, cause my dad left an–"
ND: "You're hired!"
Within the job-ad, Naughty Dog makes references to items and cosmetics and the fact that the candidate will be working with Naughty Dog's "live-ops" team.
What does all of that mean? Well, for one, it 100% confirms a multiplayer game. For another, it hints at the fact that the multiplayer game could be huge since it involves Naughty Dog's main team (also, because Naughty Dog doesn't do small games).
This all makes sense since Naughty Dog's co-president Neil Druckmann stated that the company is working on "several cool things."
Will it be a standalone The Last of Us Part II multiplayer? A version of Fractions? A DLC? A new Uncharted multiplayer? A new Naughty Dog IP altogether? We don't know. All we know is:
Naughty Dog is working on a multiplayer game! We could not. Be. More. Hyped!
