Hold on tight, because Bandai Namco will release a My Hero Academia battle royale with all your favorite characters from the manga and anime!
Who is ready to go Plus Ultra? You are? Well then, hold on tight, because Bandai Namco has just announced that they’re working on a free-to-play My Hero Academia Battle Royale game – named My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble. So if you enjoy the battle royale genre, as well as superhero fighting, then this could be the title for you.
Of course, this game will be based on the famous Japanese manga and anime, My Hero Academia and will feature many of the students, teachers and other characters. Hopefully, we get some of the League of Villains in the game as well. Give me Shigaraki or nothing!
How Will My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble Work?
From the trailer, we can tell that the game will feature eight teams of three, each team composed of different heroes. You’ll have to work together, not only to defeat the other teams but also to find various player cards which will help your character level up and get stronger.
And with stronger attacks, you’ll be harder to beat, which is why you’ll want to take over the terrain to be able to gain all the advantages you need. Then, once you’ve eliminated everyone else you’re the sole winner of the rumble. Easy enough, right?
How Many Characters Will Be Released In My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble?
A closed beta will be tested out for the PlayStation 4 version of the game in Japan starting in early February. This beta version will only have 12 characters available:
- Midoriya
- Bakugo
- Todoroki
- Asui
- Uraraka
- All Might
- Cementoss
- Mt. Lady
- Shigaraki
- Dabi
- Toga
- Mr. Compress
The official website does state that further characters will be added into the final version that is going to be out upon release of the battle royale though. So, if you were hoping for Denki, then don’t get too upset he could still be part of the final game!
Which Platforms Will Support My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble?
The game will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and on PC via Steam. So, if you have any of these consoles, then you’re in luck, you’ll be able to go to UA and learn to fight like a real hero! Make sure you brush up on all your ultra moves.
When Will My Hero Academia Ultra Rumble be Released?
An official release date has not been announced by Bandai Namco. Whether the game will have an English release is also unknown. All the info we have right now is in Japanese, but Bandai Namco has released multiple My Hero Academia games for the English market before as well.
So, if you’re a My Hero Academia fan and want to experience your favorite characters on a whole different level from the manga and the anime, then you’ll likely be able to get this battle royale as well.
