Today, we'll take a look at what Pirate Coins are, what you need them for, and what the best ways are to farm them in Lost Ark.
What Are Pirate Coins In Lost Ark?
Pirate Coins are one of the many different currencies in Lost Ark. As you can easily see from the name, it is needed for pretty much everything that has to do with water. We can pay merchant ships with Pirate Coins, but also many merchants on the islands take Pirate Coins as payment. Apart from that, we can use this currency to further expand our own island, and we also need it for some Mokoko seeds, for example, to unlock the Song of Resonance. Oh, and of course, we can also exchange Pirate Coins for other currency. That's all nice and dandy, but how do we get these shiny coins?

Broadly speaking, there are three methods of getting Pirate Coins: Completing quests, exchanging other currencies, fishing & events.

Exchange With Other Currencies

Voyage Coins include Guineas Coins, Craters Coins, Coin of Arcturus, Ancient Coins, and Solar Coins. Guineas Coins are the least valuable and can be exchanged 1:10 for Pirate Coins, while Solar Coins are the most valuable and will earn you 20 Pirate Coins per Solar Coin. Here, you can see the exchange rates:
- 1 Gienah’s Coin: 10 Pirate Coins
- 1 Sceptrum’s Coin: 12 Pirate Coins
- 1 Arcturus Coin: 15 Pirate Coins
- 1 Ancient Coin: 17 Pirate Coins
- 1 Sun Coin: 20 Pirate Coins
Fishing & Events
Once you have completed the aforementioned quests, you should check out the other islands, with smaller quests or random drops from fishing. Neither of which is super lucrative though, so the most effective way to consistently earn Pirate Coins are events on the sea and the daily or weekly quests. Follow the events via your calendar and compass and wait for the next naval event. Participate in them as soon as possible and repeat them as often as possible. The daily and weekly quests are usually not too hard or super long. These are all our tips on how to farm pirate coins in Lost Ark. Have you filled your treasure chests yet?
