Guys, queue that "It's happening" GIF because yes, it's finally happening: Multiple games set in the universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender are coming. One of the greatest shows of all time is getting another chance at charming us on consoles. God damn, I have been waiting for so long...

Multiple Avatar Games Are In Development

This merry, merry news comes courtesy of @AvatarNews, a notorious insider into all things Avatar. They revealed that it is not just one, no not even two, no: A whopping FOUR (!) Avatar games are supposed to be in development. What the heckstick? One of those games is supposed to be an RPG actually set during the time of Aang, the titular bender. According to this rumor, one of the other games is even supposed to be a full-on MMORPG... crazy. And the best thing? They're supposed to be not too far off:

I have some huge news for you today: an ATLA console RPG and an Avatar MMORPG are in development at undisclosed game studios in collaboration with Paramount’s Avatar Studios. These have been in development in secret for a pretty long time now, and they’re coming… much sooner than you think, that’s all I can say. For the first one, “RPG” is a vague descriptor; it could end up overlapping with other similar action-adventure genres to varying extents

Of course, this is just a rumor at this point, so take it with a grain of salt. You know how these things go. But let's be honest: why wouldn't this be happening? Why would a stranger lie on the internet? Impossible. I fully believe in these games and I need them. I love the original show, as everyone with a heart should, and while we got some earlier games, they have been consistently doo-doo.

Ok, Legend of Korra wasn't the worst game ever (Shoutout to my boys and gals at Platinum Games), but that terrible 2010 game by THQ? Honestly... they might as well have spit in our faces. We're excited to see if this rumor will come true, we'll definitely keep an eye out and keep you lovely peeps informed.
