Halo Infinite will launch without campaign co-op and without the Forge – this was confirmed by 343 Industries, who have to make sacrifices in order to deliver a timely release.

343 Industries have got their hands full: Halo Infinite is arguably the most anticipated game since Cyberpunk 2077, and we all know how that went down. Halo also had a rough reveal, which spawned more memes than hype, so it's easy to understand that they want to get this game right. In order to help with that, they just announced that they will have to make sacrifices and focus on single-player and multiplayer.

Halo Infinite Will Launch Without Co-Op Campaign & Forge

In the video above (at 16:39), you can see creative head Joseph Staten confirm that Halo will have to launch with restrictions. No campaign co-op and no Forge. This is in an effort to release the game this holiday season and to deliver a tight single-player and multiplayer experience.

Unfortunately, as we focused the team for shut down, and really focused on a quality experience for launch, we made the really tough decision to delay shipping campaign co-op for launch. And we also made the tough call to delay shipping Forge past launch as well.

If you're unfamiliar, Forge lets you design custom game modes and maps, some of which even became official Halo modes, while campaign co-op should be self-explanatory.
