New Fortnite Landmark: IO Bunker Base

It is not every day a new Fortnite landmark pops up on the island. In Fortnite Season 8, an IO bunker near Catty Corner opens!

Many challenges, over many seasons, the bunker hiding in the mountains near Catty Corner opens up for the first time in Fortnite History. Hiding inside this bunker is an IO base, and it's full of chests and loot. If you are a Fortnite vet, then you will know exactly where this place is, but otherwise, let's look at exactly where this is on the map of Chapter 2, Season 8.

To find this new landmark on the Season 8 map you need to head towards Catty Corner and from there follow the road south into the mountains to the **Redacted** base. The small narrow area has hosted many challenges over the years of Fortnite so many of you should know this place well, but is not exactly the most well-known place on the island.

At the end of the road lies the new IO bunker and inside is a massive IO facility with a ton of loot.

  • From Catty Corner follow the road north until it goes south into the mountain.
  • At the end of this road is a door that leads into the new IO base.

It should be noted that this base only has one entrance and one exit, so that means the single door you pass through is the only way in and out. This makes the new IO bunker base a somewhat dangerous place to go if another player is there already or if another player sees you go in, they could wait and ambush you as you exit the bunker.

What Is Inside The New IO Base At Catty Corner?

Not much is known outside the fact it is a freshly minted IO base, so it will have all the trappings of an IO base. Expect to find great floor loot, tons of chests, and perhaps a few IO guards to drop some of the best weapons in the game. Also, it would not surprise anyone if Epic added a cool new boss inside this bunker. Fans have been wondering for ages what was behind those doors at the end of Catty Corner.

The Landmark doesn't even have a proper name, "**Redacted**" was the only thing it was ever called. Perhaps we see a name change coming to this area in the near future. At the moment, we have a new IO Base and if anything more is added to this new landmark, we will keep you up to date.
