Some time ago, flying mounts were leaked for Fortnite. Could they finally be coming to the game with Chapter 5 Season 2?

Since Chapter 3 Season 3, we finally have the opportunity to ride on wild animals — at least if these animals are in the game.

And since November 2022, leaks have been circulating on the internet saying that flying mounts will eventually come to Fortnite. And there is a possibility that this could finally be the case with Chapter 5 Season 2.

Flying Mounts Coming To Fortnite

In a 2022 Twitter post, our good friend and king of Fortnite leakers, HypeX, writes that Epic Games is working on "rideable flying animals" for Fortnite.

Apparently, players will be able to boost the animal for more speed and fly in "idle" mode. Idle mode would likely mean the mount can hover in the air, allowing players to aim more accurately or throw items. Previously, an item resembling a saddle was leaked in Fortnite. Presumably, this item could be related to the flying mounts.

And just a few days ago, Hypex reposted his tweet with the image of a griffin.

We know that the new season will revolve around Greek mythology. Some Greek gods have already been leaked as Battle Pass skins, and there are also rumors that young Kratos could be released in Chapter 5 Season 2. What could be a more fitting mount than a griffin?

Of course, other fantasy creatures are also possible, such as dragons or a Pegasus. Or Fortnite reinvents itself and introduces a flying Llama into the game. The possibilities are endless!

Of course, as always, these pieces of information are just teasers and leaks, and we have to wait and see what will happen in the new season. As always, we will update you as soon as we know more.
