With prize money totaling more than $5 million, the FNCS Grand Royale in 2021 is the biggest Fortnite tournament this year. And you also have the chance to be there and take home some fat prize money! We've got all the details you need to know about the FNCS Grand Royale right here!

How To Participate in the FNCS Grand Royale?

Once again, this FNCS will be played in the trio format. Any player who has at some point made it to an FNCS round (Round 4 of an FNCS qualifier, semifinals, or finals) is eligible to field a trio for the event. However, choose your team members wisely. Once you start with a team in the FNCS Grand Royale, you will not be able to change the team throughout the rest of the event.

The FNCS Grand Royale Rounds

The FNCS Grand Royale takes place over two weekends. The qualifying rounds will take place on the first weekend, and the grand finale will be held on the second weekend. The event starts with a three-hour open competition called "the loading" section, where teams have to score as many points as possible in up to 10 matches. After that, teams will be divided into two "paths".

The Victory Path with the top 33 teams and the "Reload" path with all other teams. In the Reload Path, teams will have three separate opportunities to earn a ranking among the top eight teams per region in a single competition section within 3 hours and 10 matches to qualify for the "Victory Train" path.

Victory Train Path

The "Victory Train" path consists of four separate competition sections, each consisting of eight matches. The team that secures the epic victory in a match advances to the finals. At the end of such a competition section, the teams are paired with the best eight teams from the previous competition section from the Reload Path winners, so that 33 teams participate again in the next competition section.

The teams that finish 2nd through 10th in each match are awarded consistency points. The team that has the most consistency points at the end of all "Victory Train" competition sections will enter the finals as the 33rd team.
