It was a big weekend for all Fortnite fans. The best players from around the world gathered in Copenhagen, Denmark for theFNCS Global Championship 2023, also known as the Fortnite World Championship 2023.
The FNCS prize pool totaled over $4,000,000, placing enormous pressure on all the competitors. But in the end, only one duo could lift the championship trophy, despite every team showcasing elite gameplay. So, who walked away with the grand prize?
The Winners Of The FNCS Global Championship 2023: Cooper & Mero
During the Grand Finals, the 25 top duos from the Upper Bracket and the 25 best duos from the Lower Bracket squared off in six Battle Royale matches. Only those accumulating the highest points from placements and eliminations could claim the main prize.
The battles were intense, but Cooper and Mero stood out, bagging the $1 million prize and the FNCS trophy with 330 points. This was a commendable 59 points ahead of the second-place duo, Kami and Setty.
Interestingly, Mero plays on a controller, proving that controller users can rival those who opt for the keyboard and mouse setup.
In the leaderboard shown above, you can see the top 10 duo rankings. Prize money is equally shared between the duo members.
