MOTM In FIFA 23: All Man Of The Match Cards in FUT

The originally orange cards found their way into FIFA 23 once again. However, their design is adaptable. The orange cards mentioned are based on national MOTM awards, mostly from games in national cup competitions. At the international level, the cards have a few variations depending on the competition. Champions League MOTM cards (see picture) get a bluish appearance. Europa League MOTM are characterized by a predominantly black card with simple orange accents. The MOTM of the Conference League is similar, only the orange is replaced by green.

Due to his strong performance in a national cup match, Edin Dzeko was the first player in FIFA 23 to be awarded a MOTM card. And not only Dzeko was allowed to celebrate a premiere. The new MOTM voting was also carried out for the first time in the history of FIFA. To stay with the example, the community was allowed to vote on who was particularly convincing in the Derby della Madonnina, the clash between Milan and Inter.

FIFA 23: FUT MOTM Voting – Nice Idea, But…

Hobby coaches were certainly hyped to be able to prove their expertise in the official votes from home. But EA Sports didn't seem to like their own idea much, so just a month later the idea of MOTM voting was thrown out. It found its dubious replacement in overpriced SBCs, in which apparently randomly chosen MOTM cards could be completed.

The transparency that MOTM voting brought was lost. We now had to watch as random MOTM cards were circulated. Here, EA Sports failed once again and missed the chance to involve their community more closely. Unfortunately, it was not the first time EA failed in FIFA 23.

More MOTM cards followed in March and April, but they were mainly used as fodder for the next Player or Gamble SBC. MOTM Are Upgrading OTW Cards

We doubt that most of the cards on the list were ever playable. But the MOTMs did bring one good thing with them. The Ones To Watch players like Paulo Dybala, Ángel Di María or Erling Haaland got an upgrade for their dynamic cards.
