A Michigan judge has ordered a couple to pay over $30,000 in damages and legal fees to their adult son for destroying his vast pornography collection. He argued that it was his material and his parents had no right to destroy it. We've got all the details below.

If you've ever laughed at someone for subscribing to OnlyFans, or you find it bizarre that people still buy pornography on DVD, then allow us to introduce you to David Werking. Werking, 43, had accrued such a vast quantity that it became a legal concern when his parents got rid of it.

The Son And His Porn Collection

A lot of you might be left wondering, how does one acquire such an expensive collection of pornography? And what situation in life leads you to that point?

Well, let's get one thing clear: the porn collection really was worth $30,000. It seems ludicrous but a judge had the collection professionally valued by an 'expert'.

Werking had moved in with his parents in West Michigan for 10 months after a divorce, before moving again to Indiana. It was only after this second move that he noticed he was missing some boxes. Not just one or two tapes but boxes full of material. He reached out to his parents and they admitted to their 'wrongdoing', in an email, his father replied: “Frankly, David, I did you a big favor getting rid of all this stuff.”

Well whether it was right or wrong, a judge believed it was criminal damage and they've been ordered to repay the money to David.

Still, got a few moments left to browse? Of course, you do - and here's some more entertainment for your viewing pleasure:

For their own part, the parents were insistent that as landlords they had this right, but US law has no such exemption to property damage and their case was felt to be quite weak. The story is a bitter reminder that every day we stray further from God's light. But it definitely gave us a chuckle.
