We met up with Stain, our Artists of the Day, and asked them about their favorite video games!
Stain's music is an heir to the legacy of heavy metal and grunge, with a gentle hint of progressive rock. Subtle key changes, chunky bass lines, ominous-sounding drums, intricate guitar motifs, and catchy expressive vocals all characterize our songs. The lyrics stem from anything dwelling in the subconscious mind, making them personal to any listener. Our main motto - serve the song! As a band, we derive inspiration from Alice In Chains, TOOL, Deftones, Pearl Jam, Nirvana and many other grunge bands - but each member has had different influences through their continuous development as a musician.
It is our mutual understanding, respect, and drive for novelty that enabled us to pick the best elements of different genres of music that we admire and breathe a new life into it. In this way, we've created a unique powerful art of channeling our emotions and love for music, both to ourselves and the audience.Of course, we decided to ask them a few questions about music and video games. Here's what they had to say...

Would you ever like to write music for video games? What would it be like?
Definitely songs that are upbeat and heavy, but I might try something like Jeremy Soule did in Skyrim. How important is music for video games / video games for music?
They go hand in hand. The music adds emotional context to games in general. That's why Assassin's Creed 2 is perhaps a match made in heaven when it comes to storyline/gameplay/soundtrack.
