Raven have somewhat predictably announced plans to nerf the MG 82. This is the new LMG available on the Season 4 Battlepass. Just hours after its release streamers and pro players were beginning to complain about how powerful the weapon is. We've got all the details here.

The MG 82 is one of two new weapons introduced by Raven in Season 4, its free to all players once they reach level 15 of the Battlepass. It has one of the highest rates of fire on any weapon in the game, with very little recoil and good damage. So yes, you're going to want to get one and start leveling it up - here's the best Warzone loadout for the MG 82. The problem is, it's too good. Pros and streamers realized very quickly how easily this thing beams people, and with a TTK that beats out even the beloved AMAX:

It hasn't taken Raven long to respond. They've done a fantastic job with weapon balancing in recent months and Warzone has finally reached a point where no single weapon is king –they won't ruin that over the MG 82.

When Will Raven Nerf Warzone's New MG 82?

Raven have not said exactly when they will implement this nerf but they made the announcement within 48 hours of the weapon's release on June 18, in this tweet:

Knowing the Warzone developers we can probably expect something on either Monday, June 20, or Tuesday, June 21.

Note: We'll keep this page updated as soon as a patch goes live, so be short to check back.

Like keeping up to speed with all things Season 4? So do we, here's a few of the new additions in case you missed anything:

How Will Raven Nerf Warzone's New MG 82?

They will probably reduce damage numbers for the MG 82 and increase recoil. They never touch the rate of fire because they like to base that figure off a real-world–equivalent to the weapon, and they can't reduce ammunition sizes either now we've seen all the attachments. Recoil and damage make more sense than handling because they've described quick handling as an essential part of the weapon's 'character'.

We'll have to wait and find out, but until then it's well worth trying this weapon for yourself while it's still in such a broken state.
