The Cooper Carbine is one of the first post-launch guns from Vanguard, and it still is quite good in Warzone. Here's the current meta attachment setup, as well as a complete loadout guide.
The openness of the new Caldera map demands longer-ranged primary weapons, and even as secondaries, there are just far fewer areas for SMGs to find relevance. But the Cooper, which is an AR but plays like an SMG, has just enough range and controllability to hit the Sniper Support sweet spot for Caldera, and is also extremely good on the smaller Maps Rebirth Island and Fortune's Keep. It has a very high rate-of-fire and can put out decent damage, so you can achieve a competitive TTK. Couple that with fantastic handling, and you've got yourself an absolute beauty of a gun.
Note: This loadout has been built specifically for Warzone, if you're looking for a Cooper Carbine setup for multiplayer then follow this link.
The Best Cooper Carbine Setup
Component | Attachment |
Muzzle | MX Silencer |
Barrel | 22" Cooper Custom |
Optic | SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x |
Stock | Cooper Custom Padded |
Underbarrel | M1930 Strife Angled |
Magazine | 9mm 60 Round Drums |
Ammo Type | Lengthened |
Rear Grip | Hatched Grip |
Perk | Tight Grip |
Perk 2 | Fully Loaded |
The balance here is really in deciding how much recoil you can put up with in favor of a strafe speed. This is about the sweet spot for most average players, but if you've got the gun skills, then consider swapping the barrel out for a Gracey. You might also want to take the Slate Reflector over the SVT, but we went for the higher magnification option.
The Best Secondary, Grenades & Perks for a Cooper Carbine Loadout
The Best Secondary Weapon for the Cooper Carbine
The snipers don't ADS like they used to and since Kar and Swiss got basically nerfed into oblivion, the heavy snipers took over the meta. It's as simple as that. So if you are looking for a good sniper, you need to go with either the ZRG or HDR – we recommend the ZRG. Here is our in depth ZRG guide.
The Best Equipment for the Cooper Carbine
Lethal | Throwing Knife |
Tactical | Stims |
This is pretty self-explanatory given how few pieces of equipment we have to choose from in the Vanguard Royale modes, and with the nerf to Stuns. The Stims are going to be useful against the now-quicker gas, but Flashbangs wouldn't hurt. Throwing knives are going to be helpful in quickly finishing those you've downed, especially useful now that you have to assume everyone has self-revive.
The Best Perks for the Cooper Carbine
Perk 1 | Double Time |
Perk 2 | Overkill |
Perk 3 | Amped |
For any Sniper / Sniper Support build we need Overkill, and Amped is hugely helpful in such a loadout because you don't want to be caught with your ZRG out when someone rushes you. Now we've taken Double Time in the first slot because it's always good to have more Tac Sprint, but with the buff to lethal grenades, E.O.D. might not be a bad shout.
That was your complete rundown on the current Cooper meta. You'll have so much fun with this weapon, so we highly recommend it. If you want to try something else, give the XM4 a shot.
