Call of Duty: Vanguard features a plethora of perks and abilities that help you become an absolute god. Here are all of the Vanguard perks, and what makes them so special.
Perks are always a big part of the conversation when it comes to any new Call of Duty game, especially if they're eventually been implemented into Warzone. This year, unlike last year, this might actually happen, which is pretty exciting. Thus, let's take a look at all the perks in CoD: Vanguard that we currently know about. We'll update this article once the game is out to provide you with a full list of every Perk in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
The Perks In Call of Duty: Vanguard
Below are the current Vanguard Perks known to us via various leaks, as well as both the game's Beta and the game's Alpha. We have separated them into three different categories – counters, intel, and bonuses & equipment – each of which include four separate Perks that are featured in Call of Duty: Vanguard.
Vanguard Perk 1: Counters
These Vanguard Perks are your direct counters to other people's intel or attacks. Ghost has now changed to only work whilst moving, but this nerf was expected. Counter Perks serve to increase gamer's ease of play, offering minor adjustments to gameplay for the purpose of giving players minor benefits.
Ghost
Ghost makes players undetectable while moving by Spy Planes, enemy intel, and Field Mics. It also reduces the effectiveness of Local Informants.
Fortified
Fortified reduces damage and health regen delay from explosives. Damage reduction is increased while mounted, crouched, or prone.
Low Profile
Low profile provides training in how to avoid detection by the enemy. It additionally makes you immune to the effects of Piercing Vision.
Survival Training
This perk maximizes your resistance to stun effects. Additionally, Survival Training makes you immune to gas.
Vanguard Perk 2: Intel
Perks in this slot are going to be giving you intel, and for the first time in a long time, this makes perfect sense as a perk category. This is great to see, and a good balance should emerge between knowing too little, and knowing too much, about the enemy.
High Alert
High Alert causes your vision to pulse when enemies who are outside of your field of view see you. In other words, when another player visualizes you, your screen pulses.
Radar
When using Radar, enemies appear on your mini-map when they fire an unsilenced weapon.
Forward Intel
This particular Vanguard Perk allows you to see indicators for enemy reinforcements on your mini-map. Forward Intel also makes your mini-map show a larger area.
Tracker
Enemies leave behind a footprint trail. In addition, Tracker allows you to see markers at enemy death locations, and hide the death markers of enemies you kill.
Vanguard Perk 3: Bonuses & Equipment
These perks will actively give you something to use, and you'll note that Overkill has made its way into Vanguard as a separate category to Ghost. It will be absolutely fascinating to see these changes implemented into Warzone.
Demolition
Demolition gives you extra lethals upon respawn. It also allows you to view a thrown lethals indicator that shows you the path of the lethal.
Double Time
This doubles (as the name suggests) the duration of Tactical Sprint. Double Time also increases crouch movement speed by 30%.
Tactician
Tactician restocks your tactical equipment every 30 seconds.
Overkill
Overkill allows you to carry two primary weapons.
Is There A Meta Perk In Vanguard?
We would say that a collection of Ghost, Radar, and Demolition, or Fortified, Tracker, and Overkill, would be the meta perk right now in Vanguard. Overall, from what we've played of the Call of Duty: Vanguard Beta and Alpha, the meta loadout will look something like this:
- Primary Weapon: STG44 / MP40 / MG42 / NZ41 / Kar98k
- Secondary Weapon: Machine Pistol / Panzerschreck
- Lethal: Thermite
- Tactical: Stuns
- Perk 1: Ghost / Fortified
- Perk 2: Radar / Tracker
- Perk 3: Demolition / Overkill
- Field Upgrade: Armor Plates
The weapons so far have been feeling great, but you'll notice that they don't show any weapon in the beta build that unlocks after level 30. We're certain, though, that there are more weapons, unlocked after level 30, than we haven't seen yet. Thus, expect the above meta speculation to change if something broken unlocks at level 40. Of course, we will continue to update this article once the game drops and things begin to change and evolve.
