Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered is supposedly already completely finished and just waiting for release. Here is all the info.
The Modern Warfare series is pretty damn popular, and not without reason. After all, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 made today's CoD multiplayer what it is today. So, it's no wonder that Activision decided to remaster the original Modern Warfare trilogy, which isn't really holding up to today's graphical standards anymore. With Modern Warfare Remastered, we already got the first part of the series in 2016, complete with campaign and multiplayer in fancier graphics. In 2020, Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered followed, which was a bit of a disappointment because, as the name suggests, only the campaign was remastered, the multiplayer didn't get remastered.
Logically, the rumor that Modern Warfare 3 will also get a remaster has been going around for a while now. After last year's claim that Modern Warfare 3 Remastered would not happen, there is now new information.

According to the well-known leaker TheGhostOfHope on Twitter, Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered is actually already completely finished and is just waiting for the right time to be released. You can see his tweet here:

According to the leaker, his sources had told him:

This is good news for those who have been looking forward to it, but MW3 will once again be exclusively a campaign remaster. The MW3 multiplayer will not be remastered for now, and we wouldn't bet on it coming in the future either.

Modern Warfare 3 Campaign Remastered Release Date
Although the game is apparently already finished, we still don't have an official announcement from Activision and thus no release date. Currently, however, there are already some rumors floating around the internet about when the MW3 remaster might come. Since we will get Modern Warfare II at the end of October, many gamers assume that the MW3 Remaster might come as a kind of pre-order bonus or will be part of a bundle in the game later on.
