The Type 99 is not pretty, in fact, if it wasn't for this one simple trick that allowed for the one-chest-shot down, we wouldn't be talking about it. But the fact it can pull this kind of nonsense off is a game-changer. Now they might nerf it, and when they do, we'll change our Type 99 setup guide accordingly. But until then, this is the current Type 99 meta attachment setup in Warzone Pacific, as well as a loadout for you to use it with.

It's all about three key attachments: the magazine, the barrel, and Vital. With the combination of these three, you can get the one-hit down to the chest. Without them, it really isn't worth using this weapon. It's as simple as that, the Kar is just better. So if you're a Vanguard owner then we suggest you just hop on Ship Haus and level until you have these three unlocked.

The Best Secondary Weapon for the Type 99
The MP40 is fast becoming the sniper support in Warzone Pacific, and for good reason. It has great range for an SMG, a strong max ammo capacity, and a decent enough TTK. At the same time, it's very mobile and so you can make quick rotations between sniper peaks.
The Best Equipment for the Type 99

No two pieces of equipment have risen to true meta level in Warzone Pacific so far; we have a lot less to choose from and no Claymores or Heartbeat Sensor. But the Frag has been recently buffed, and the Flash can do a good enough job of denying aggressive pushes. So it's really a case of picking the best from a mediocre bunch.
The Best Perks for the Type 99

For a sniper / sniper support loadout, we of course need Overkill. And honestly, there's less of a need for Ghost in Warzone Pacific. Combat Scout and Cold Blooded remain as strong as ever, though. Combat Scout is particularly effective while sniping on the Pacific map because people love to hide in bushes when they're cracked, and that's just pain to deal with without this perk.
