If you're looking for one of the highest TTKs in the game, then you've found it. It comes at a cost, though. How do you build a Bren Loadout and what are the best attachments for a Bren in Warzone Pacific? Here's the current meta.
The Bren was a weapon which dominated Caldera once after the Automaton was nerfed into the ground (exactly one week post launch), and it continued to thrive right up until the Season 3 balance patch on April 27, 2022. The Bren post-Season 3 patch is nowhere near as controllable as it once was, and it will now struggle to compete against the absolute top-tier of weapons. But, it's not unusable, especially if you have good gunskill. Here's exactly what happened to the Bren, and the new meta attachment setup.
What's The Best Bren Setup Now?
Component | Attachment |
Muzzle | MX Silencer |
Barrel | Queen's 775mm Sceptre |
Optic | SVT-40 PU Scope 3-6x |
Stock | Hockenson SP2B |
Underbarrel | M1941 Hand Stop |
Magazine | .303 British 100 Round Drum |
Ammo Type | Lengthened |
Rear Grip | Polymer Grip |
Proficiency | Tight Grip |
Kit | Fully Loaded |
What do most of these attachments do? Recoil control. That's all we need for this gun, and quite frankly is what this weapon needs. The first few bullets have always been quite controllable on the Bren. When you start holding down your trigger, that's where the horizontal recoil starts to kick in. Every single attachment except for the Ammunition helps with recoil. It might not be as low recoil as the NZ oder KGM, but this is very manageable.
The Best Secondary, Grenades & Perks for a Bren Loadout
The Best Secondary Weapon for the Bren
Since the Bren is super slow, we wanted to pair it with a super speedy SMG, so you can traverse the map more efficiently. The MP-40, like the Bren, had its glory days in the past, but both of them are still very viable weapon choices, especially if you want a change of pace from the current meta. TTK wise the MP-40 might not be top tier, but that is where the movement speed comes in handy, so we can outplay and outmaneuver our opponents.
The Best Equipment for the Bren
Lethal | Throwing Knife |
Tactical | Snapshot Grenade |
The throwing knife should be in every single loadout, it is by far the best lethal equipment and needs no explanation. As for the snapshots. We are using them, since they combine so well with an LMG. LMGs have great stopping power and can easily wall bang clueless opponents. Snapshots just makes this a lot easier. Who doesn't enjoy some free wall hacks?
The Best Perks for the Bren
Perk 1 | Cold Blooded |
Perk 2 | Overkill |
Perk 3 | Combat Scout |
This is the stock standard perk set up. Overkill so we can use two primary weapons, but try and get Restock in your second loadout, so we can really spam those snapshot grenades. As for Cold Blooded and Combat Scout. These two perks just go hand in hand. Combat Scout to give us even more wall banging potential, and make tracking opponents easier. Cold Blooded is its counter, so to avoid being highlighted ourselves, we want to use Cold Blooded.
And there you have it, the updated Bren loadout. It might not be as good as before, but it's definitely still usable. If the Bren isn't for you, then give the new UGM-8 a go.
