A new leak has suggested a release date for the AMP63, the full-auto sidearm that we've been waiting for in Call of Duty: Warzone and BOCW. This could be an absolute game-changer for snipers, and one to watch out for.

The AMP63 is very 'cold war', it's based on the actual weapon - Polish PM63 RAK, an SMG/PDW hybrid. Starting with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, but now with Warzone and BOCW, Activision has been focusing on their gunsmith system, and on making authentic representations of weapons in-game. For this reason, we can make some educated guesses about what attachments to expect for the AMP63, and how strong the weapon will likely be.

When Is The AMP63 Release Date?

The AMP63 is coming to Call of Duty: Warzone and BOCW on 20 May, a Thursday, at the usual time for the game's updates. This one's going to be slightly bigger though, as it's going to be the mid-season update - so it'll be packed with new gear and content. The news was leaked first in the following tweet:

What Are The Best Attachments For The AMP63?

The AMP63 is based on the PMK63 RAK, so we already know that the large block you see beneath the barrel is a collapsable forward grip. The only stabilizing attachment that will be possible for players to additionally equip is a stock.

But there will almost certainly be extended magazines available, as there are for the PMK63, and as we know, they are hugely successful in Warzone and BOCW. Muzzle attachments like suppressors and flash hiders are also quite certain, as are grip tapes for the handle, but the obnoxiously large iron sights might see this weapon being denied optics.

Is The AMP63 Going To Be Meta?

There's good reason to think that the AMP63 will become the meta in Call of Duty: BOCW, but maybe less so in Warzone. The PMK63 RAK was designed to fill the role between machine pistols and submachine guns, so for a sidearm, it's probably packing some heat. It's chambered in 9x19 Parabellum, so you can expect low damage per shot, but if the ROF is as strong as the real-life equivalent (650 rounds/min) then this has huge potential as the go-to sidearm for snipers and LMG users.

We cannot wait to get our hands on this (potential) beauty, and we bet you can't either! Let us know if you're going to be running it on Twitter or Facebook. If you want to keep up to speed with Call of Duty and other great games then considering joining EarlyGame today.
