How To Play Mr. Mime in Pokémon Unite

Mr. Mime Guide: Basics

As expected, Mr. Mime is a supporter. Wouldn't have expected him to be a tank, to be honest. With his tricking moves, he will hinder opposing Pokémon and attack with his Melee attacks. Due to all this, his difficulty is only listed as intermediate, so you should be able to play him quite well.

  • Offense: 1.5/5
  • Endurance 4/5
  • Mobility 1/5
  • Scoring 1.5/5
  • Support 4/5

Mr. Mime Guide: Evolution

Mr. Mime does not have any evolutions.

Mr. Mime Guide: Unique Abilities

  • Filter – Temprarily increases defense after using moves.
  • Basic Attack – Every third attack deals increased damage and knocks the opposing Pokémon back.

Mr. Mime Guide: Moves

Level 1

  • Fake Out | 7s cooldown – Mr. Mime claps, displacing nearby opponents.
  • Light Screen | 8s cooldown – Creates a solid wall on the playfield.

How to build: You'll definitely want to pick Light Screen at level 1 – remember your role and that you're there to support your teammates. Make use of Light Screen.

Level 4

  • Confusion | 6s cooldown – Attacks straight forward, dealing damage displacing opponents. If the opponent hits a wall or is guard-swapped, they take more damage and are stunned instead of being displaced.
  • Smokescreen| 6s cooldown – Damages nearby opponents, as well as those near a guard-swapped opponent, leaving them with reduced Sp. Defense. Opponents hit twice simultaneously are stunned.

How to build: Confusion is a great engage tool that you definitely want to use once your opponents are near a wall. Once you've stunned them, your offense teammates can go in and finish off the opponents.

Level 6

  • Barrier | 2s cooldown – Creates solid walls on the playfield. Goes on cooldown after two walls.
  • Guard Swap | 4.5s cooldown – Swap Defense and Sp. Defense with another Pokémon, increasing your movement speed. Deals damage and slows opponent Pokémon. Increases movement speed of ally Pokémon.

How to build: Once again, like with Level 1, build Barrier to protect your teammates and focus more on your role, being a support, than anything else.

Level 9 – Mr. Mime Unite Move

  • SHOWTIME! – Leaps forward and begins a mime performance, stunning nearby opponents and damaging them over time.

Make sure that your entire team is present when you use Mr. Mime's Unite Move, so that everyone can make the most out of it. That way, you can ensure that you get the most takedowns.

Mr. Mime Guide: Item Build

  • Held Items | Go with Exp. Share, Buddy Barrier and Shell Bell
  • Battle Item | Eject Button.

Shell Bell increases your healing abilities, which is super important for Mr. Mime. Since he's not very offensive, you'll want Exp. Share to get something out of teammates taking down enemies too. Buddy Barrier will give you and an ally with the least HP extra shields.

Eject Button is the usual choice to escape sticky situations... use it to escape.

Mr. Mime Guide: Game Strategy

Mr. Mime's game plan is to support the entire team with stuns and Barriers all around the field. Be there when fights happen, but stand back, as you're quite squishy. Really make sure that one of your held items is Exp. Share, otherwise you might lack behind the rest of your team.
